Meet the Co-Founders
We became close friends while working as medical assistants at a dermatology clinic, where we noticed many patients wanted to learn more about their skin. Veriderma started as a way to bridge that gap—helping patients feel more informed and confident in their care.

I am a medical student at the Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine with a strong interest in dermatology. I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology.
Prior to medical school, I gained a year of hands-on experience as a dermatology medical assistant, which sparked my passion for the specialty and highlighted the challenges patients often face when navigating their health. I am currently involved in dermatology research and co-founded Veriderma, a patient education initiative aimed at making dermatologic information more accessible, inclusive, and empowering.
Too often, patients leave appointments feeling confused or overwhelmed, turn to the internet for answers, and quickly become unsure of where to look or what sources they can trust. Through Veriderma, I aim to improve health literacy by offering accessible, accurate, and inclusive educational resources that empower individuals to better understand and manage their health.
Beyond bridging the information gap, I’m also passionate about engaging directly with communities to promote skin health, raise awareness about preventable conditions, and support patients in feeling confident and informed about their care. My goal is to make credible dermatologic information approachable and to meet patients where they are—both online and in their communities.

I am an incoming medical student at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. With over four years of hands-on experience as a dermatology medical assistant, I have had the privilege of working closely with both patients and physicians, gaining valuable insight into a wide range of skin conditions. These experiences not only cultivated my passion for dermatology, but also revealed the challenges patients often face in navigating their health. Many individuals delay seeking care because they do not recognize early symptoms or skip routine skin checks, while others feel overwhelmed by complex diagnoses and struggle to find reliable, understandable resources.
Recognizing the need for credible, accessible, and inclusive dermatologic education, I co-founded Veriderma, an organization dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about their health. Through educational content and direct community outreach, Veriderma aims to raise awareness of skin health, preventative measures, and early intervention practices. Our mission is to address health disparities, improve health literacy, and foster confidence in navigating patient care. By extending Veriderma’s reach both online and within the community, I hope to promote equitable access to dermatologic education and encourage proactive approaches to skin health for all.
